Austin Jenkins, better known as Adam Cole, is an American Professional Wrestler who is currently signed to WWE. He is the first person to win ROH (Ring of Honor) three times, and now is the current NXT Championship. He represents the leader of The Undisputed Era with his partners Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong.

Adam Cole Early Life and Childhood

Born on July 5, 1989, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States Adam Cole was ten when his parents were separated. He has a little younger brother whom he loves very much. Cole was interested in fighting lessons, which is why he joined for karate lessons from his childhood age.

Adam Cole’s Wrestling Career

Cole started his wrestling training at the Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) Wrestling Academy. Cole was still a senior in high school and had already made his wrestling debut at No Pun Intended on June 21, 2008. In his next match with Tyler Veritas at Chris Cash Memorial Show, he won the game and began to feud with GNC.

Adam Cole challenged to wrestle Sabian for a 15-minute time-limit draw for the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship. On April 10, Cole faced Sabian, where the match ended in a 20-minute time limit draw and won the CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship, which was his first big title win. Cole not only won the title but also successfully defeated the claim against Ryan Slater and Blk Jeez.

Another significant achievement that Cole got on his career is by winning Best of the Best X tournament, where he had to defeat many wrestlers like Pinkie Sanchez. Johnny Gargano, Kyle O’Reilly, and Sami Callihan. On November 12, Cole was defeated by the interference of Hyde and Yim during his title match, where he lost his 553 days reign of CZW World Junior Heavyweight Championship.

Ring of Honor

Cole made an unforgettable history in Ring of Honor (ROH) by winning ROH for three-time and becoming the first person to win the title. He made his debut on February 28, 2009, against John Kerman and lost the match. Cole had a long and arduous journey to get the shot at ROH World Championship.

Adam Cole, with his partner Edwards defeated O’Reilly and Richards in Tag Team Match for the ROH World Champion. On June 29, 2012, Cole got his first victory on ROH World Television Champion, defeating Roderick Strong in Baltimore, Maryland. Cole successfully defended his title against Mike Mondo, Eddie Edwards, but was unsuccessful in defending against Matt Taven and lost his reign of 246 days.

Adam Cole was officially signed with WWE on August 14, 2017, where Cole worked in the NXT territory. He made his NXT debut attacking newly crowned NXT Champion Drew McIntyre, creating himself as a villain. On December 12, Cole fought against Aleister Black, where he lost shot for qualification on a fatal-four-way match for the NXT Championship.

Again for another shot of being number one contender for the NXT Championship, Cole defeated Velveteen Dream, Ricochet, Black, and Matt Riddle in Fatal-5-Way match. Cole then was beaten 2-1 by Johnny Gargano then got one more chance for the title due to rematch. This was the golden match for Cole, where he defeated Gargano to win the NXT Championship. Cole was successful in defending his NXT title against Danial Bryan.
