Early Career (2003 – 2007)
Manuel Alfonso, with the support of his father, uncles, and grandfather as a former wrestler, he also began his wrestling training since his early age.
He began his first-ever professional debut on October 3, 2003. Andrade started a professional career with a ring name “Brillante Jr.” in honor of his father.
During his early career, he made a storyline rivalry with his uncle, whose ring name was “Zafio”. He won his first headline match defeating Zafio and shaved off his hair after the match as the tradition of Lucha libre.
Brillante Jr. again won another match where he made a masked wrestler unmask in the middle of the ring. During his early career, he even competed as a masked wrestler.

La Sombra (Andrade) was selected for New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2010 in a tournament of Best of the Super Juniors XVII. The tournament lasted from May 30 to June 16, 2010, in Japan.
