Career
While being on rigorous training, the Californian-born athlete participated in numerous wrestling competitions. At the age of nineteen, Pamela had her first match under the ring name of Davina Rose. However, her first even win became SHIMMER Women Athletes Volume 48 at the age of 23. Later on, she got assigned to WWE, adopting Bayley as her ring name. In her debut match, she lost against the Paige.
Throughout the year, Martinez took part in several WWE contests, but her attempts to win the WWE NXT Women’s Championship title failed. After several defeats, 0n September 4, with her partner, Charlotte Flair, Pamela won her first match against Alecia Fox and Aksana.
Things turned around for her after defeating Sasha Banks at the NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, which led her to become Charlotte’s NXT Women’s Champion. After receiving the much-awaited title, Bayley became unstoppable. She started portraying blazing fire in the ring and won championships after championships.
