Early Life

KociaÅ„ski was born in Elmira, NY. She is of Polish descent and was born to Polish parents. This prom queen attended  Notre Dame High School and graduated from Canisius College in Buffalo. This talented lady also holds bachelor’s degrees in the field of criminal justice and Public Relations.

When Elizabeth was just 11, she won a contest and tickets to a WWF event. She actually credits this event of her life as to when she fell in love with pro-wrestling. Bret Hart, Sgt. Slaughter, Owen Hart, and Ted DiBiase were her idols growing up.

During her days at Notre Dame High School, she began wrestling and also became the first female on the school’s varsity wrestling team. In 1999, KociaÅ„ski was even crowned the North-East freestyle women’s champion. Her goal is life was to become a pro-wrestler, and Phoenix achieved it by also having a solid amateur wrestling back.

Elizabeth Kociański is married to Adam Copeland. He also is a wrestling superstar who is popular worldwide with his ring name Edge. They got married on the 30th of October, 2016. Prior to the marriage, they even had two daughters together, namely Lyric Rose Copeland and Ruby Ever Copeland.

Before, she was married to Joey Carolan. He, too, is a pro-wrestler who goes by the ring name Joey Knight. She was married to Caloran from 2001 to 2010.

Career

This veteran diva began her shining career in 2001. The ‘Glamazon‘ made her debut against fellow veteran Mickie James. Till 2005, she wrestled in Independent Circuit and appeared for various promotions including Cleveland All Pro Wrestling, Apocalypse Wrestling, FNW, ROH, and  Shimmer Women Athletes.

She started working for WWE since 2004 and was initially sent to their developmental territory OVW for about three years. During a Raw event in 2006, Beth Phoenix suffered a fractured mandible. But tough Phoenix was only out for a couple of months and returned to action in OVW.

She returned to the main roster in 2007 and has grabbed the attention of wrestling lovers by being a part of various enthralling storylines ever since. However, her most glorious days started in 2011.

Beth Phoenix and Natalya joined forces and formed The Divas of Doom. This was a pairing that no other divas wanted a piece of. During this time, she also became the Divas Champion for the first time, with help from her best friend, Natalya.

After Phoenix was inducted in WWE Hall of Fame in 2017, she even became the fastest female member to be inducted after retirement. And together with her husband Edge, they are the first real-life pair on the list.
