Rotunda joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2008, where he debuted on Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) on November 15, 2008. He defeated Kaleb O’Neal on his first debut match on FCW.
The Rotunda brothers became the FCW Florida Tag Team Champions on June 23, defeating the former champions Justing Angel and Kris Logan. They were able to defend their titles against multiple tag team partners.
On February 3, 2011, Rotunda became the Florida Heavyweight Champion for the first time after successfully defeating Mason Ryan. He won three times the Florida Heavyweight Championship title in his FCW career.
NXT
In 2012, the FCW was rebranded as NXT, and Rotunda made his NXT debut under the new ring name Bo Dallas. For the tournament to become the first NXT Champion, Dallas was able to reach the quarter-finals where he was then eliminated by Jinder Mahal.
On January 26, 2013, Dallas participated in an eight-man NXT tournament where he won the tournament defeating Luke Harper, Conor O’Brian, and Leo Kruger.
He also competed on the Royal Rumble match and was able to last for 20 minutes before getting eliminated by Wade Barrett. Dallas then feuds with Barret that ended with a losing effort for Barret’s Intercontinental Championship title.
On May 29, Bo Dallas became the number one contender for the NXT Championship, winning a battle royal match. Dallas defeated Big E Langston and became the new NXT Champion on June 12.

On June 19, The Miz approached Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel to make them the future stars teaming with Miz and helping him to win matches. With the help of Dallas and Axel, Miz won against Heath Slater, Rhyno, Jason Jordan, and The Hardy Boyz.
Bo Dallas also participated for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal but was unable to win. The Miz later was parted as he was moved to SmackDown, and Dallas remained on Raw. Then Axel and Dallas turned on Miz, ending their alliances.
