Briley Pierce

Born on November 4, 1984, Ryan “Philip” Nemeth is an American professional wrestler, writer, actor, and comedian. He’s best known for his appearance as Briley Pierce in WWE, where he wrestled in their developmental territory NXT.

Early Life and Childhood of Briley Pierce

Ryan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Briley’s biggest achievement in wrestling would be nothing more than being a younger brother of WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler. He has an astounding physique just like that of his brother but could not make huge accomplishments in the world of wrestling.

He played on OVW and earned OVW Tag Team titles twice with Chris Silvo and Paredyse. Piece somehow grabbed an opportunity to be part of the WWE developmental system with his OVW performance.

Pierce secured the FCW Tag Team Titles with Brad Maddox, who is considered one of his significant achievements in WWE. His career was just about to revive in NXT, but he was soon granted his release. Briley tried competing in the indies after the announcement, but it didn’t help him to sustain his position as a capable wrestler in WWE. Despite his serious attempts, he failed miserably as a wrestler. He should probably incline his career into LA’s wrestling where he can perform at a prominent level than he is now.

Ohio Valley Wrestling (2010-2011)

Briley Pierce received a one-year paid scholarship with Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) after winning the promotion’s first-ever Breakout competition. Nemeth debuted as a professional wrestler for OVW in 2010 under his real name. On January 8, 2011, Nemeth teamed up with Christopher Silvio. They won the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, against the Elite.

On February 2, 2011, when Fighting Spirit (Silvio and Raphael Constantine) attacked Nemeth, Jim Cornette vacated the titles. On the very night, Briley Pierce and Paredyse won the vacated Tag Team Championship defeating Fighting Spirit in a tag team elimination match. However, on March 5, 211, Nemeth and his tag team partner Paredyse lost the Tag Team Championship to Silvio and Constantine.

WWE

Florida Championship Wrestling (2011 – 2012)

Nemeth signed a developmental contract with WWE and was assigned to its developmental territory in 2011. He made his debut on June 26, 2011, as Briley Pierce, against Big E Langston in a losing effort. On October 30, 2011, Peirce lost a match against Brad when he pinned down Peirce with the Oklahoma roll. And on November 3, 2011, episode of FCW, Briley, and Brad teamed up defeating C. J. Parket and Donnie Marlow and won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championships. However, Pierce and Maddox were forced to vacate the titles due to the severe leg injury of Briley.

NXT ( 2012 – 2013)

Before WWE, NXT merged with FCW as NXT Wrestling. Nemeth, as Briley Pierce, debuted on June 20, 2012, episode of NXT taped at Full Sail University as an interviewer. On the May 8 episode of NXT, Pierce made his in-ring debut against Sakamoto. But Conor O’Brian attacked them both, which led to a clash between three of them. However, both of them challenged O’Brian to a handicap match during the next episode, which was won by O’Brian. On May 17, 2013, Pierce was released; his last game was a battle royal. On the May 29 episode of NXT, he competed on a game to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Championship. In this match, he and Sakamoto ware the first men eliminated from the game by Mason Ryan.

Independent Circuit ( 2013 – present)

Briley Pierce had his first match after WWE release on May 25, 2013, at Florida Underground Wrestling Throwdown 3, defeating Jesse Neal. On June 23, 2016, Nemeth won the DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship, defeating Bunny the Cat by forfeit. He would lose the title on the same day to Taya Valkyrie
