Early Life

Steffanie Rhiannon Newell was born in Bargoed, Wales. Unlike most individuals in sports entertainment, her ambition wasn’t to be a pro-wrestler growing up.

In fact, Newell‘s dream was to become a professional footballer when she was young. She is a talented footballer who had played for a number of local teams from her area.

At one point, Steffanie even participated in trails for Welsh footballing giants Cardiff City Football Club. She is such a good footballer that she even took part in trials for the Welsh national team.

Sadly, Newell suffered a horrific knee injury. This Tegan Nox injury even cost her a place in the Wales Under-16 team. After turning 16, she finally called it a day for her footballing career.

Athletic Rhiannon even played netball and tag rugby. But she took a pause from all sporting activities due to her knee problems.

Being a wrestling fan since a child, Newell then turned her attention toward professional wrestling. She joined a professional wrestling school based in Port Talbot.

Rhiannon was trained by Dave Stewart and  Mike “Wild Boar” Hitchman. Ever since she has been on a constant rise, and it is really pleasing to see her pass all the struggles and succeed.

Is Tegan Nox Single? And about her personal life

This big question remains a mystery. Nox hasn’t spilled any details about her dating life to the public. However, all the signs indicate that she’s highly likely to be single at present.

Apart from that, we know that Rhiannon‘s late grandfather was her inspiration to pursue a career in professional wrestling. She has also mentioned that the legendary Molly Holly was her favorite diva growing up.

Career

Tegan began her career way back in 2013 with British promotion Attack! Pro Wrestling. She performed in this organization until 2017.

Newell also became the first woman to wrestle at Wolverhampton based promotion, Fight Club. Here, she wrestled from 2015 to 2017. 

Apart from these, Steffanie has also featured in several notable promotions like Progress Wrestling, Shimmer Women Athletes, What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW), and World Wonder Ring Stardom.

However, she got her big break when signing for WWE in 2017. Unfortunately, Nox couldn’t compete in the WWE Mae Young Classic due to an ACL injury.

But strong and determined, Tegan didnt allow this setback to drag her down. She has since been performing in WWE’s NXT branch and is rapidly working her way to the top.
