Melvin Imoudu wikipedia has been a sudden interest of many sports enthusiasts after the athlete set a new record and became the German champion.
Melvin Imoudu set a new best mark over 50m breaststroke in the 2023 German National Swimming Championships run-up to the finals.
He broke the 14-year-old record set by Hendrik Feldwehr from 26.83 seconds to 26.79.
He confirmed the exact timing in the final and became the German champion with 26.79 seconds ahead of World Championship starter Lucas Matzerath (27.20 seconds).
The championship was held from 6 to July 9, 2023, in the Swimming and diving hall in the Europasportpark (SSE), Berlin.
Before entering the championship, Imoudu’s career-quickest was 27.00 seconds which he logged in the heats of the event at the 2021 European Championships.

The swimmer competes in 100 m breaststroke, 50 m breaststroke, 4×100 m medley mixed and 4×50 m medley mixed.
Furthermore, he has participated in several competitions like the Fina Swimming World Cup, European Championships, Swiss Summer Championships, and many more.
Born in Potsdam, Germany, Imoudu is a native Potsdamer and was raised in the same neighbourhood by his parents.
