Born on January 19, 1972, in Williamsburg, South Carolina, Truth was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, who makes his living through selling drugs like cocaine on the street. From early life, Truth began generating interest in hip hop and breakdancing that he even performs on the WWE stage.

K-Kwik and Road Dogg became long-lasting tag team partners who also took part in a four-way tag team match for the Tag Team Championship but could not win the title.
K-Kwik then got separated from Road Dogg and started competing single. He defeated Raven for the Hardcore Championship and lost against Crash Holly.
