Early Life and Childhood

Born on January 19, 1972, in Williamsburg, South Carolina, Truth was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, who makes his living through selling drugs like cocaine on the street. From early life, Truth began generating interest in hip hop and breakdancing that he even performs on the WWE stage.

Even after his high school graduation, he continued to sell drugs, which led him arrested for times. After the incident, he was interviewed by Lilian Garcia, where he ended his lifestyle of selling drugs.

Career

Killings was influenced and encouraged to start and engage in wrestling by Jackie Crockett of National Wrestling Alliance, who now is a senior cameraman for World Championship Wrestling.

Killings had his first professional debut match in Pro Wrestling Federation (PWF) in 1997. There he trained with Manny Fernandez for three years and made another debut in NWA Wildside and was awarded in Television Championship.

With an urge of Rick Michaels, Killings requested a developmental contract with WWF sending a promotional videotape. He was then appointed for two years under the ring name K-Kwik. Killings won a battle royal match to claim the vacant Southern Heavyweight Championship title in Robinsonville, Mississippi.

Truth then was promoted to the chief roaster, where he made a debut on an episode of Raw is War attacking William Regal on the on-going match against Road Dogg. K-Kwik and Road Dogg became long-lasting tag team partners who also took part in a four-way tag team match for the Tag Team Championship but could not win the title.

K-Kwik then got separated from Road Dogg and started competing single. He defeated Raven for the Hardcore Championship and lost against Crash Holly.

Instead of United States’ title, he won the Slammy Award for the Best Musical performance on December 8, 2008. Truth also got qualified for the Elimination Chamber match for World Heavyweight Championship, where CM Punk eliminated him. Truth teamed up with Finlay, Matt Hardy, and Hart Dynasty to defeat JTG, Eric Escobar, Dolph Ziggler, and Drew Mclntyre.

R-Truth had a big feud with Ted DiBiase, which ended after wining against DiBiase at Over the Limit on May 23. He then defeated The Miz to win United States Championship title.

R-Truth is a married man who was married to his girlfriend Pamela Killings on April 7, 2011. The beautiful couple has four children that reside in Indian Trail, North Carolina, United States.
