Colby Daniel Lopez was born in Buffalo, Iowa, on 28th May 1986. He belongs to American, German, and Irish ancestry. Lopez – his surname comes from his stepfather, who had a Mexican-American descent. Colby is a huge of Henry Rollins, who is a famous former Black Flag singer. Colby’s wrestling career began in 2005 with his mentor Danny Daniels. He played his first match on the Ted Petty Invitational Tournament for Scott County Wrestling (SCW). Although he was eliminated in the QFs, he later won the title and marked his prize belt with ‘The Black Era’ in SCW.
Later, he joined the NWA Midwest with his partner Marek Brown defending the title successfully. Seth even made brief appearances in many games like TNA Wrestling, Full Impact Pro, and Pro Wrestling Guerilla. Being known as Tyler Black, Colby soon became a part of the Ring of Honor along with his teammates Necro Butcher and Jimmy Jacobs.
In 2007, they together grabbed the ROH Tag Team Championship. However, their team split up eventually after losing to popular McGuiness. In June 2008, Tyler won a steel cage match against Jimmy Jacobs, who was responsible for their broken partnership.
In 2010, Lopez joined WWE and defeated Trent Barreta in his debut match. Rollins was sent to FCW and became FCW Heavyweight Champion. He also won the inaugural FCW 15 Championship on Jan 13th in 2011. With his team partner Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, Rollins debuted in the main roster as The Shield.
After the stable’s dissolution, Rollins’s career took a significant turn in the right direction, making him a winner of the ‘Money in the Bank.’ He cashed his money in the bank of Roman Reigns. And acquired the title of World Heavy Weight Champion.
