Shawn Michaels, the father of Richard Hickenbottom and Carol Hickenbottom, was born in Chandler, Arizona, on July 22, 1965.

He has three siblings, Randy, Scott, and Shari and raised in a military family and grew up in a San Antonio, Texas.

Michael had the interest to become a professional wrestler at the age of 12, where he participated in a talent show of a wrestling competition.
