Tyson Kidd was born as the son of Cheryl Wilson on July 11, 1980, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Kidd is of English descent from his paternal grandparents.

Kidd, after getting popular on Stampede Wrestling, got a nickname “Stampede Kid.” Tyson Kidd had his very first championship in the promotion, along with Bruce Hart’s partnership. Kidd won the Stampede British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Championship defeating Duke Durango on October 15, 2004.

Tyson also won Stampede North American Heavyweight Championship defeating Apocalypse on the half time of Calgary Stampeders vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers Canadian Football League at McMahon Stadium.

Tyson went to World Wrestling Entertainment at the age of 26 with the support of Bill DeMott. He joined WWE with his girlfriend, Nattie Neidhart. He won FCW Southern Heavyweight Championship defeating Afa Jr. in a ladder match and lost to Ted DiBiase Jr. Tyson then teamed with Smith and won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship, which they lost to Tyler Reks and Johnny Curtis at FCW television taping.

He made his first WWE television debut on February 10, 2009, under the name Tyson Kidd defeating Bao Nguyen. There Kidd, Smith, and Neidhart formed The Hart Trilogy, which later changed to The Hart Dynasty. The team Hart Dynasty got a title match for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship against D-Generation X but lost the game. They started to feud with Matt Hardy and The Great Khali on SmackDown.


Tyson was a participant at Royal Rumble 2011, where he got eliminated by John Cena. At WrestleMania XXVII, Kidd competes in a twenty-three man battle royal, which was won by The Great Khali.

Kidd was also a participant on an enormous Battle Royal in history of WWE, whose winner would get a title shot but failed to win the match and the direct chance for the title. Tyson defeated Trent Barreta twice on NXT and proposed for tag team partner. He then started to feud with Michael McGillicutty and lost the match with him, where he was insulted that he would never be a true Hart.

Kidd then got rematch to prove himself as a true Hart where he won the match against McGilicutty.
