At 26 years old, he had amassed a YouTube following of half a million and garnered 225,000 followers on Twitter. However, both of these accounts have since been eradicated.
After his arrest in 2017, YouTube halted advertising on Jones’ channel and faced criticism for the delayed removal of his content.
Hailing from Illinois, Jones also confessed to using Facebook on approximately 30 occasions to lure underage girls into sharing explicit photos and videos with him.
Some victims were led to believe these videos were part of a modeling opportunity, while others were promised assistance.
He implored these victims to keep quiet, fearing the damage it could inflict on his public image.
This revelation, though belated, exacerbated the situation by confirming the authenticity of the messages.
Two years after the incident, Jones was apprehended for possessing explicit child content on his mobile device.
Following his arrest, he was released on a $100,000 bail and remained in the care of his mother.
On February 1, 2019, he pleaded guilty. In May of the same year, he was sentenced to a ten-year prison term, leading to the swift removal of his YouTube channel upon news of his arrest.
His release is possible as early as December 31, 2027.
