The late director was born on June 23, 1958, in Toronto, Ontario, and started his career at a young age. He directed the theatrical adaptation of “All About Eve” called “Evening” in 1981.
In the same year, he also performed the lead in Ken Gass’ production of “Hamlet.”
Over the years, Brooks collaborated with various Ontario-based writers, playwrights, and directors, including Guillermo Verdecchia, Daniel MacIvor, and John Mighton, shaping the landscape of Canadian theatre.
