Laurie Depies missing case has again caught the attention of readers after the missing news of a 13-year-old Yoblonski came out nearly two weeks ago.
Laurie was related to Yoblonski, who went missing 30 years ago.

The story depicts how Laurie Depies disappeared under mysterious circumstances in Menasha, Wisconsin, in August 1992.
Born on September 17, 1971, to parents Mark Depies and Mary Mollen Wegner, she was 20 years old at the time of her disappearance.

Laurie Depies Missing Case Update
Laurie Jean Depies, described as easygoing nature and adventurous by her family, worked at the Graffiti store at Fox River Mall in Grand Chute, Menasha.
The young, lively, and strong-willed Laurie had reported for work in the early afternoon of August 19 and was last seen leaving the mall at approximately 10:00 PM that day.
Ever since the 20-year-old has not been seen, according to the FBI, on August 19, 1992, a co-worker walked Laurie to her vehicle after work at the Fox River Mall in Appleton, Wisconsin.
Her vehicle was heard coming into the parking lot of her boyfriend’s apartment complex, located at 310 West Wilson Avenue in Appleton, Wisconsin; however, never entered the apartment.
Depies’ boyfriend’s sister and her friend searched for Depies in the parking lot to no avail. They found her vehicle locked, with a Styrofoam cup of soda on top of it.
After three decades of her disappearance, the 20-year-old’s missing case still remains a mystery.
No one saw her walk away from the parking lot or enter anyone’s car. Then where did she go? Was she kidnapped?
Authorities believed Laurie was taken by someone she knew since it was uncharacteristic of her to go with a stranger.
Moreover, they found no indication she was forcibly kidnapped. It further strengthened their hypothesis that the young woman left with someone she knew and was possibly harmed later.
Is Laurie Depies Found Yet?
The mystery of Laurie Depies’ missing continues to remain unknown to all. Sadly, she was never found, and the investigation into her disappearance continues.
Moreover, the authorities investigated most of Laurie’s friends, including her boyfriend, but they were soon cleared of suspicion as no one knew about her whereabouts.
No suspect came in the light of the investigation. They found no witnesses seeing Laurie walking away from the parking lot or getting into anyone else’s car.
When the authorities exhausted all leads, the case went cold for nearly two decades. There was no progress in the case.
But the case suddenly turned when a convict named Larry DeWayne Hall confessed to kidnapping and killing Laurie in 2010.
He was already serving a life sentence for another kidnapping and murder at the time. However, the body was not found in the area where he stated he buried her.
Moreover, no physical evidence supported Larry’s confession, and law enforcement officials eventually discarded his statements.
The Laurie Depies missing case still continues to remain an unsolved mystery. There is no confirmation on if she died or is still alive. She would be over 50 years if she was alive.
