Matthew Deangelis Accident was caused by the wrong-way route driving on a Pennsylvania state highway. The car crash took the life of Matthew and another person in the crashed vehicle.
On 14 July 2023, Friday, Matthew Deangelis was driving his car to route 202 in East Whiteland Township, Chester Country, Pennsylvania.
Shortly after midnight, surrounding people heard the vast crash around northbound mile marker 17.2 and called the traffic management of the community.
Immediately, police arrived at the scene where five people were victimized, including Matthew, who died at the accident scene.

Matthew Deangelis Accident Linked To Death Cause
The quiet night of East Whiteland Township was disturbed after the tragedy struck Route 202, claiming the life of forty-two years old Matthew Deangelis.
Matthew was traveling in a 2015 GMC Sierra and was unknowingly heading southbound in the northbound lanes. This means he has been driving the wrong way on the busy highway.
Because of the wrong lane, his car collided with a 2022 Volkswagen Toas that was traveling in the opposite direction- which was actually in the right lane.
The Pennsylvania State Police reported that Matthew had been driving in the wrong direction for over five miles before the tragic crash.
As per the investigation report of the police and the structure of the catastrophe, Matthew Deangelis’s car accident’s leading cause was probably because of wrong-way driving.
However, the police are further analyzing the crash’s nature and are searching for every clue possible to jot out the real cause of the tragic accident.
It was also speculated that there might be a chance of Matthew being drunk and driving in the wrong way out of consciousness. For further examination, his body was taken to the Pennsylvania state hospital.
Similarly, three passengers in the Volkswagen were driven by Lucian Robert-Popdan Li, a nineteen-year-old boy.
All four people were taken to the Paoli Hospital for treatment. While the other three were in critical stable condition, driver Li was in danger condition with a rare chance of leaving.
However, the doctors were trying their best to prevent one more death and loss because of the wrong-way driving of one person.
Matthew Deangelis Obituary And Death: Family Mourns the Loss
The whole of Pennsylvania state and especially East Whiteland Township people were shocked by the news of the fatal accident and death of Matthew Deangelis.
On 18 July 2023, another sad news from the Paoli Hospital: Robert-Popdan Li died from his injuries.
Robert was a Manheim Township Lacrosse team member and Lancaster-Lebanon League All-star in 2022.
He was enrolled and playing lacrosse at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
Robert’s family and friends are devastated by his death news, and they are paying tribute to the young soul by organizing mourning at his school and displaying his Jersey, cherishing Li’s days on the earth.
Similarly, Matthew Deangelis’s family is also bewildered by the news of his demise. They recognized his dead body from the police and are yet to hold a funeral because of the ongoing investigation.
Matthew’s family paid regard to the victim and their family members and participated in mourning Li’s death.
Furthermore, the other two passengers of Li’s car Carmel of Indiana and Blacklick of Ohio, are still in the hospital, and the treatment process is ongoing.
Their family, friends, and close ones are praying for the well-being and fast recovery.
