He is a manager at the olden Boy Boxing promotion company which Oscar founded in 2002 along with Bernard Hopkins. 

Though he was also into boxing in his early days, due to having the least interest in it he chose to be a manager rather than a boxer.

Talking about Oscar De La Hoya sister Ceci De La Hoya, she is the youngest among the De La Hoya siblings and is a professional makeup artist. 

Moreover, she also works as a freelancer for the Golden Boy Promotions. 

Oscar De La Hoya brother and sister have always been through thick and thin with him. Not only they have been supporting each other emotionally but looking at their career choices too it is evident that the siblings have developed strong bonds professionally as well.

Talking about Oscar De La Hoya family tree, his roots are traced way back to Mexico. His father, Joel Sr., and his mother Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya, were said to have emigrated from Mexico to California, United States before his birth.

Having said that, the golden boy of boxing was born into a family of boxers. His grandfather was a amateur fighter in the 1940s and so was his father in the 1960s.

Though there is not much clear information regarding his grandfather, it is known that he was a notable figure in combat sports back in his days.

Despite leaving the sport to support his wife and children, Joel Sr has always been there for his son’s boxing career leading the way for him through his experiences and knowledge. However, his wife, Oscar’s mom Cecilia passed away due to breast cancer in 1992, before he won gold at the Olympics.

Nevertheless, besides his parents and siblings, Oscar’s children also add up to his family tree. 

From his three different relationships over the years, he has six children in total: Jacob, Devon, Atiana Cecilia, Oscar Gabriel, Nina Lauren Nenitte, and Victoria Lauren Rose De La Hoy.

Besides being a talented boxer, Oscar is also a loving father who has blended his family well altogether despite his children’s differences.
