Career

Since the buildup his wrestling career from an early age, he was quickly pursuing a professional wrestler. In 2000, Benjamin was signed with World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where he was placed in developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling.

He teamed with Brock Lesnar because of their friendship and joining together at WWF. They were known as Minnesota Stretching Crew, who were successful in holding OVW Southern Tag Team Championship on three occasions. After getting fired from Team Angle, Shelton started to wrestle single and was drafted to Raw in 2004. Benjamin began to a feud with The Game, Triple H, where he won three-time against Triple H. Shelton then feud with Evolution, where he defeated Ric Flair at Backlash and lost to Randy Orton for Intercontinental Championship match.

Benjamin was chosen by fans to compete against Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Championship match, where he successfully won the game and got a first singles title. He lost his title against Carlito, where Carlito used ropes during pinfall and then ended his 224 days championship reign.

Shelton Benjamin competes on Money in the Bank ladder match and then began a feud with Rob Van Dam for Money in the Bank Contract. Van Dam defeated Benjamin and became Intercontinental Champion at Backlash. Benjamin then again won the title from Rob Van Dam in Tornado Tag Team Match.

Shelton is a big fan of video games who won several WWE’s THQ Superstar Challenge. He has set a Guinness World Record for “Wrestler who won most WWE THQ Superstar Challenges.” He is also talent in art, where he once wanted a career in the comic book art field.
