Mr. Tan’s culinary journey began in 1960 at Jalan Kayu, where he honed his skills under the guidance of his elder cousin.

After five years of apprenticeship, he ventured out independently, establishing his own stall.

By 1971, he had relocated to Changi Road, continuing to build his reputation as a master of Hokkien mee.

Despite initial challenges, Mr. Tan’s determination and passion for his craft led him to establish his own eating house in 1984.
