John Gotti III, commonly referred to as “Junior Gotti,” is the grandson of the infamous mob boss. Born on February 14, 1964, he grew up surrounded by his family’s criminal activities. However, Junior Gotti pursued a different path in life, unlike his grandfather and father.

He was living a low-key life training under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran, Ryan LaFlare, at Long Island MMA before becoming more involved in mixed martial arts.

Despite his link to a criminal background, John Gotti III has attempted to distance himself from his family’s criminal past and build a legitimate career in MMA. 

The rising star got hooked on MMA in eighth grade after he watched a match with his father. In the interview, he said, “Just to bond with him, I wanted to watch the fights, so I tuned into the fights that night, and ever since that night, I became hooked.”

As mentioned above, John Gotti is the son of John A Gotti and Kimberley Albanese. He was born to his parents on November 2, 1992, and was raised alongside his five siblings. 

Besides this, the identity of his other family and siblings are not revealed at the moment. During his school days, John was active in high school varsity football and later started training for MMA.

So after a slew of amateur fights, on October 27, he debuted against Johnny Adams. He has participated in six bouts, winning five and losing one. In mixed martial arts, he fought in the Welterweight category.

John stands at 6 feet, weighs around 169 lbs, and fights in the Light Heavyweight division. Most recently, he went against MMA star Floyd Mayweather at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Fla. Sadly; their fight was stopped in Round 6 due to both fighters not listening to instructions from the referee about trash talk.
