One of the rising young talents in the world of Muay Thai, Johan Ghazali parents must be beyond proud of the young star’s performance at the stadium.

But who are they? Let’s find out about his mother, Jennana Johnson, his father, Zulfikar Muhammad Ghazali, and their family tree.

Muhammad Johan Ghazali Zulfikar, also known as ‘JoJo’ from Malaysia, represents Rentap Muaythai Gym in the Muay Thai community. 

This skilled youngster caught everyone’s attention in February 2023 when at his One Championship debut match at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, he knocked out his opponent in just 16 seconds, leaving the audience stunned. Additionally, he was awarded 350,000 baht as a performance bonus.

Recently, he has been in the news for knocking out his opponent, who was taunting him by sticking him at once with a classic left hook right-hand combination.

We can conclude upon the fantastic presence of mind as well as the tactical and calm nature of Ghazali looking at the match’s result. 

Johan won the 14-15 category (under 60kg) title at the 2022 IFMA World Youth Muay Thai Championship.

He stands at 5 feet 6 inches with a 100% finish rate and an average of 3m 56 s bout duration, which is pretty impressive for a young player at the beginning of his career.

Johan Ghazali Parents: Mother Jennana Johnson And Father Zulfikar Muhammad Ghazali 

Johan was born on November 11, 2007, to mother Jennana Johnson and Father Zulfikar Muhammad Ghazali in Sarawak, Malaysia.

Likewise, his mother, Jennana, was born in 1979, and his father, Zulfikar, was born in 1976, as per The Borneo Post. Additional information about their upbringing is not available.

Similarly, how Johan’s parents met and got married is still a mystery as they keep their private life secret. Talking about the kids, his dad and mom welcomed four children, three boys and one girl, amongst which all three boys are Muay Thai fighters.  

Both Johnson and Zulfikar had been active in the field of Muay Thai during their younger years. Johnson started Muay Thai at the age of 16.

Further information about the Muay Thai career of both is not publicly available. However, their constant effort for their children to excel on the field shows their love and dedication toward sports. 

Clearly, Johnson has given most of her time to the boy’s training and development in Muay Thai and keeps encouraging and pushing them to do great in the sport.

At the same time, Zulfikar is always present for the children balancing his work and personal life.

Moreover, her support is seen in her words given to Twentytw013: “Muay Thai is physically demanding and tough, and I know not everyone can do it. I began fighting at the age of 16, so I know what it is like. I understand their sacrifices.”

Johan Ghazali Brothers Elias Ghazali Zulfikar and Mikail Ghazali Zulfikar: Family Ethnicity

Ghazali has two brothers named Elias Ghazali Zulfikar and Mikail Ghazali Zulfikar, and he is the second born. His sister’s name is Emylia; she is the youngest of the four. All of them go to the SMK St. Thomas Secondary School in Kuching, Malaysia.

The oldest, Elias, was a gold medalist at the IFMA Asian Championships in 2019 and was honored with the same year’s Spirit of Muay Thai Special Award.

Also, Johan had previously won bronze in IFMA Bangkok in 2017 and 2018 and also won the gold medal at the IFMA Asian Games in Abu Dhabi in 2019.

He was also three times national champions in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

While the youngest of the boys, Mikhail, currently training with his brothers, represented Sarawak for the national championships at Bukit Jalil in 2019.

The respect and appreciation the children have for their parents are evident as they always count their parents, coach Addy, and the love for the sport as their biggest motivation to keep me going and to strive to do better. 

The family is Malaysian Muslims, as seen in their comments about faith and appreciation of Allah in their comments and captions on social media.
