Madan Das Devi was born on 9 July 1942 in Karmala village, Solapur, Maharashtra in a close-knit family.
After completing his school-level education, he took admission to Pune’s famous Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) in 1959 for higher education.
Following this he completed his Post Graduation in Commerce, and later he did LLB Graduation from the reputed ILS (Indian Law Society) Law College. He was a gold medalist in LLB.
Since childhood, Madan Das Devi was fond of education, he loved studying. Even after getting two degrees in a renowned field, the desperate urge to study kept him going. After the law, he did his CA course.
During this time, around 1964, he started working at Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Mumbai. His determination and hard work led him t become the ABVP Secretary for Mumbai in 1966.
And later he became a full-time worker at the organization in 1968 and was deputed as Organising Secretary of Paschimanchal Kshetra which was announced in the National Conference held at Karnavati, Gujrat.
In the course of his work period of 22 years as the National Organising Secretary of ABVP, Madan Das did everything he could do to expand the units of ABVP units all over the country.
In 1991, he became Akhila Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh of RSS and later the Akhila Bharatiya Karyakarini Sadasya of RSS.
