Where Are Sara Tokars Sons Ricky And Mike Tokars?

Most people who know about Sara and her tragic ending often wonder about her children’s whereabouts now. That might be the reason “Sara Tokars sons” becomes a trending topic on the internet time and again.

Following the horrifying events that unfolded that day, Ricky and his younger brother Mike moved in with their maternal grandparents in coastal Bradenton, Florida, where they were raised by their aunts.

Ricky, Sara’s eldest son, was only six years old when the tragic events took place. As he grew older, Ricky pursued higher education and attended college in San Diego.

Today, he is known to be an enthusiastic surfer and traveler, according to Atlanta Magazine. Moreover, Ricky chose a career path as an emergency medical technician to assist others during times of crisis.

However, aside from these few details, not much is publicly known about Ricky. He has intentionally kept a low profile, preferring to stay away from the public eye.

Mike, the younger of the two, received a scholarship to Columbia University, a prestigious institution in New York, where he earned a master’s degree in journalism.

His passion for writing led him to contribute to publications such as the Christian Science Monitor and the Atlanta Journal Constitution. He even authored a couple of books.

During the initial phase of Corona virus-induced restrictions, Mike, unfortunately, decided to undertake a journey from Florida to California.

Difficulties in finding accommodations and employment led to him feeling frustrated. Coupled with existing mental health issues, these circumstances led him to make impulsive decisions.

Moreover, the cross-country drive took a toll on Mike’s physical health. Having gained weight in recent years, he began feeling weak upon his arrival on the West Coast.

Recognizing his declining state, their aunt promptly took him to a hospital, where it was discovered that blood clots had formed behind his knees.

Although Mike’s condition initially appeared to improve, tragedy struck when a clot dislodged and traveled to his lung, resulting in a pulmonary embolism, as said by his aunt in an interview with The Atlanta Journal. On that fateful day, at the age of 31, Mike passed away.

His struggles with PTSD and depression had been known, which can be attributed to his traumatizing childhood experience.

Sadly, one of Sara Tokar’s sons could not make it long and joined his mother in the afterlife. We can only hope for Rick’s well-being and strength to deal with all that is happening.
