Born into the esteemed family of Late Chief AbdulSalam Aderemi and Late Madam Aisha Aderemi of Jagun-Olukosi compound in Ede, Osun State, Olofa Ina’s early life unfolded during the reign of Late Oba John Adetoyese Laoye, the then Timi of Ede Land.

His educational journey began at St. Peters Anglican Primary School from 1957 to 1962, followed by Baptist Secondary Modern School, Ode-Omu, where he completed his studies from 1963 to 1965.

Beyond academics, Olofa Ina pursued vocational training in carpentry and joinery at Olukorede Furniture Industry between 1965 and 1970.

Balancing a career in carpentry, he ventured into public and private services. From 1970 to 1977, he served as a Grade II Officer with the Ministry of Works and Transport, Ibadan, Western State of Nigeria.

Subsequently, Olofa Ina assumed the role of Maintenance Officer at Daladson Hotel, Jericho Reservation, Idi-Isin, Oyo State, from 1977 to 1980. However, his passion for Theatre Arts beckoned, leading him to retire into full-time practice in 1980.

Before embracing theatre wholeheartedly, Olofa Ina founded the Olofa Ina Theatre Group in 1972, alongside luminaries like Erinfolamin, Dasofunjo, Gbolagade Akinpelu, and the Late Oyetunji of Esinnla compound, Ede.

Under the tutelage of Late Oyetunji, he honed his theatrical skills. Olofa Ina made a significant impact in the realm of Home Video Production with his feature in Alade Aromire’s Ekun in 1989.
