In the clip, she made remarks about the retrospective effects of Malaysia’s expulsion of Singapore and the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 during an audience interaction.

The clip received heavy criticism from citizens, celebrities, diplomats, and politicians, especially from Malaysia, who found it crude or insulting.

TikTok even removed the clip for violating community guidelines and containing discriminatory content.

In response to Jocelyn’s performance, 100 protesters from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) demonstrated outside the United States Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, demanding a ban on her in Malaysia.

People call for her arrest and imprisonment due to a highly controversial video. Still, no confirmed news about her going to jail or not leaves her fate uncertain.

Cops Seeks Interpol Help To Track Her Down: Is She Arrested?

The police chief of Malaysia has announced that they will seek assistance from Interpol to locate and investigate a stand-up comedian  Jocelyn Chia.

She caused controversy in Malaysia and Singapore when she shared a video clip of her comedy routine, in which she made jokes about the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.

The Malaysian police will request her location and full identity from Interpol to conduct further investigations.

The authorities will examine Chia’s comments under Malaysian laws regarding provocation, incitement, and the publication of offensive online content.

As of now, she has not been arrested. The specific penalties or consequences for her actions are currently unclear.

During an interview with CNN, Chia expressed her stance on the matter, stating that she continues to stand by her jokes despite the controversy. However, she mentioned that the short video clips shared on social media misrepresented the context of her remarks.
