Fergal Devitt Aka, Finn Balor, was born on July 25, 1981, in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. Balor was raised along with his three brothers and a sister. He completed his high school from Saint Cronan’s Boy’s National School.

Early Career (2000 – 2007)
Devitt began to train for his career at NWA UK Hammerlock. He made his first debut match at the age of 18 at NWA British Commonwealth. He soon won the NWA British Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship at the same age of 18.
Finn Balor opened NWA Ireland along with Paul Tracey in mid-2002. He trained Becky Lynch, who is now the current WWE RAW Women’s Champion.
In March 2006, he signed a contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). During the initial reign on NJPW, he wrestled under the ring name, Prince Devitt. He won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship teaming with Minoru on January 27, 2008.
World Wrestling Entertainment
Devitt made his official debut on World Wrestling Entertainment on May 15, 2014. He was assigned to NXT promotion’s developmental territory. There he got this world popular ring name Finn Balor.
His debut match was tag team match with Hideo Itami against The Ascension, which they won. Balor won the NXT Championship tournament for number one contender but was unable to win against Kevin Owens.
In his second chance, he won the NXT Championship at The Beast in the East against Kevin Owens. He defended the title against Owens in a ladder match on August 22.
Finn Balor was assigned to the Raw brand on July 19, 2016. He won his first match defeating Rusev, Cesaro, and Kevin Owens in a fatal four-way match and got a quick chance to compete at SummerSlam for WWE Universal Championship.
Balor defeated the Universal Championship Seth Rollins to become a new WWE Universal Champion. After the match, he had a shoulder injury that would require surgery. Due to the injury, he has to be out of WWE for about four to six months and also lose the newly won WWE Universal Championship title.
