Patrick Dai Health: Parents Reported About his severe depression
After Patrick was charged with allegedly posting antisemitic messages to a school forum, his parents came in front to defend their son.
Patrick’s mother reported to the news portals that Patrick has been suffering from severe depression lately, which has left the family members in worry.
His mother said that Patrick was on the brink of suicide just moments before his arrest and was refraining from the incident he had caused.
Thus, Dai’s parents believe that their son Patrick is innocent, and all of this is caused because of his severe depression.
According to Patrick’s family resources, it is known that he sank into a severe depression in 2021 and Patrick Dai health was deteriorating. It was one year after he started his engineering studies at the prestigious university.
After his depression started to increase its spectrum, Patrick had difficulty controlling his anger, and there were several times he was unaware of the surroundings.
In between all these, the Israel and Hamas war triggered his anger, and the violence made it difficult to lead an everyday life here in the USA, which made him leave such malicious statements and comments in the college forum.

Patrick Dai is a 22 years old boy who lives in Pittsford, New York. Currently, he resides in Ithaca, New York, in an apartment near his college, Cornell University.
At the university, Patrick Dai pursuing his study in Engineering. He entered the college in 2020 as one of the five National Merit Scholars named at Pittsford-Mendon High School.
Similarly, Patrick received an advantage as a 12-time A.P. Scholar who also logged time volunteering at Rochester General Hospital.
At Cornell University, Patrick worked as an Orientation supervisor from January 2021 to February 2022.
