Born on September 4, 1987, Wesley Blake is an American professional wrestler whose real name is Cory Weston. He is currently working as a full-time wrestler in WWE, where he performs on the NXT brand.
He is also a member of the “Forgotten Sons” with Steve Cutler and Jaxon Ryker working together as a heel. Under the management of Alexa Bliss, he teamed up with Buddy Murphy in 2014 and 2015 under the name ‘Blake and Murphy and won the NXT Tag Team Championship.
He started his wrestling career playing for Dory Funk Jr.’s Funking Conservation under the name Corey Weston on the Florida independent circuit, where he won several championships.
In 2013, Weston signed a contract with WWE and portrayed a cowboy gimmick in NXT during his initial year with the company.

Early Life and Childhood
Weston is from San Marcos, Texas. Their single mother raised Wesley Blake and his younger sister with great difficulties. Blake received his graduation from Texas State University. During his time in college, he was a strength instructor and also played college football.
He was so good that he played football at the all-state high school level, including for the Madina Valley Panthers in 2005, as the middle linebacker.

Funkin Conservatory (FC) promotion (2011-2013)
Well trained under Dory Funk Jr, Wesley debuted in his Funkin Conservatory (FC) promotion. On May 26, 2011, he won the FC European Championship from Damian Steele. He spent a fair share amount of time wrestling in FC from May 2011 until May of 2013.
WWE (2013-2016)
In June 2013, Weston signed a contract with WWE and reported to NXT when the WWE Performance Center opened. He and his future NXT Tag Team Partner Buddy Murphy joined WWE at the same time.
On January 22. 2014 episode, he made his first television appearance with the character of a cowboy. And lost the match against Adrian Neville.
He lost numerous single matches to Adam Rose, Mason Ryan, and Sin Cara as well as got defeated in a tag-team match against the Ascension with Cal Bishop and his partner.
Wesley Blake Tag-Team with Buddy Murphy
Finally, in August 2014, Wesley Blake left his cowboy portrayals and formed a tag team with Buddy Murphy. On the August 14th episode of NXT, Blake, and Murphy got defeated in the first round of a number one contender’s tag-team tournament by Kalisto and Sin Care, who is best known as The Lucha Dragons.
During the entire year of 2014, Blake and Murphy lost multiple matches to teams like The Lucha Dragons and The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch). Blake and Murphy continuously faced failures as they were eliminated from the tag-team battle royal after losing the match with The Ascension in October 2014.
However, on January 21, 2015 episode of NXT, they won the match against the Vaudevillains and tasted their first victory as a tag-team and a week later, defeated The Lucha Dragons to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
In a rematch for the titles, Wesley Blake and Murphy defeated Lucha Dragons once again at NXT Takeover Rival. Following that, Blake and Murphy challenged Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, who were intent on capturing the tag titles. At NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, they retained their NXT Tag Team Championship against Amore and Cassady with the assistance of Alexa Bliss, who aligned herself with them.
After achieving success in several matches, Blake and Murphy lost the championships to The Vaudevillains at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, which ended their reign at 219 days.
Final appearance on Televised NXT episode
After losing the match against Shinsuke Nakamura and Austin Aries, on May 18, 2016, episode of NXT, Bliss, and Blake cut lose with Murphy, teasing a split for the team.
Following Bliss’s main roster call-up in the 2016 WWE draft, Blake got used as an enhancement talent on NXT television, with his match against Murphy on October 12 episode of NXT, which quickly ended in no-contest as both men were attacked with the interference of Samoa Joe. The event became a final televised appearance for Blake.
The Forgotten Sons (2017-present)
Blake returned on May 10, 2017, episode of NXT after a long gap from television, confronting Drew McIntyre in a backstage segment. On May 24, 2017, episode of NXT, he returned to his cowboy look and got defeated from McIntyre.
During his absence from television for the remaining year, he formed a tag team with Steve Cutler at NXT live events as “The Forgotten Sons.”
With Steve Cutler and Jaxon Ryker, he returned to TV on August 29, 2018, episode of NXT, and got interrogated by William Regal about the attacker of Aleister Black. Within the next week, The Forgotten Sons defeated The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford).
